This Spring, at a Camp near you, a mystery is unfolding. A mystery so epic in proportion, that it will not soon be forgotten. Read more
Childhood is full of dreams of summer. Star gazing, jumping in the lake, fishing, canoeing, hiking… every child has them, but not all can experience them. Children fighting cancer yearn for the joys and freedoms of a healthy childhood, but are often limited to hospital beds and doctor’s visits. Arizona Camp Sunrise, planned and administered with the special needs of cancer patients in mind provides the ideal setting to allow these kids to just be kids.
The Southwest Kids’ Cancer Foundation invites their community supporters to join them for the first annual Dreams of Summer Gala to benefit the children of Arizona Camp Sunrise & Sidekicks. The event is vital to the success of Arizona Camp Sunrise so that children diagnosed with cancer may have the opportunity to dream this summer, and for many summers to come.
The Gala will be held on February 28, 2014 at the Ocotillo Golf Resort in Chandler, AZ.
Please help us celebrate life and give children diagnosed with cancer the opportunity to dream this summer.
Our 501(c)(3) has been accepted! Yup, the IRS has given Southwest Kids’ Cancer Foundation a thumbs up and we are officially a non-profit corporation. Any and all donations to assist the future of Arizona Camp Sunrise & Sidekicks are now tax deductible. Anyone–individuals to large corporations–who donates to our camp will be able to claim it as a tax-free donation.
This was a big step for SWKCF. But it’s just one in many steps to ensure that the children of Arizona Camp Sunrise & Sidekicks have a camp–next year, and for years to come.
It’s time to celebrate! Donate now and know that every penny of your donation will go straight to serving the kids at Arizona Camp Sunrise & Sidekicks.

Breaking News from Arizona Camp Sunrise and Sidekicks!
You may have heard that the American Cancer Society has announced they will no longer support camps and childhood programming, including Arizona Camp Sunrise and Sidekicks. This is shocking, yes, but will not jeopardize the future of our beloved camp. We remain committed to providing a safe and nurturing camp experience to children with cancer and their siblings – just like we have for the past thirty years.
We’re evolving! We have formed a new foundation autonomous of ACS, the Southwest Kids’ Cancer Foundation (SWKCF). We have incorporated and are obtaining tax-exempt status as a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. SWKCF is dedicated to the continuation of our camps and programs in 2014 and beyond.
But we can’t do it without you. You are an important part of our camp family–our Campily. Join us in making this our best year ever for Arizona Camp Sunrise and Sidekicks!
Southwest Kids’ Cancer Foundation is committed to actively preserving and advancing Arizona Camp Sunrise and Sidekicks camps and programs.
Southwest Kids’ Cancer Foundation’s passion and commitment to serve kids who have or have had cancer, their siblings, and families is our sole incentive.
